Why phone in india is going to be expensive ?

No, It's not crona virus or COVID-19 effect because of   which phones are going to be expensive. you might already knew that whatever customer buy out of which certain portion go to government as GST. Last months government raised duty on phones from 12% to 18% . so that means there is increase of 6% on the base value of the items. In order to reduce the effect of rise of GST , Phone manufacturer like SAMSUNG, XIAOMI, POCO, VIVO , OPPO and APPLE.

So now the question is when and how much will be expected rise in price. Let's take an example most of the phone bought by customer in India is approx 10,000 rupees.We will taking an example of phone which has price of 10,000 with 12% GST.  Base price of that phone is  8928.5 so from  1st april 2020  there will be duty of 18% instead of 12% so we need to do calculation on 18%.  After calculation you will be getting price 10535.6 rupees.  so approx price increase on the item will be 5%.

Biggest worry is not that the price of phone is up by 5% but it is going to be more expensive because of COVID-19. For now price of all the old phone is going to be up by approx 5%   from april 1st.

While Some manufacturer have already announce that they are raising the price some are still waiting for lockdown to lift.
